New Senior Appointments at Gibney Communications

Gibney Communications, one of Ireland’s leading public relations companies, is pleased to announce new appointments to its senior management team.  Donnchadh O’Neill has been appointed Deputy Managing Director and Mark Leech joins the firm as an Account Director.

Donnchadh O’Neill has been a senior communications professional for over 15 years and joined Gibney Communications in 2005.  He continues to look after his key clients at the firm while also taking a leading role in the management of the company, reporting directly to Managing Director Ita Gibney.

He is a former journalist, working as a radio producer for RTE Radio One for several years where he edited leading current affairs programmes including Liveline and 5-7 Live.  He has worked in PR for the past 10 years and was formerly a senior executive with Murray Consultants.  Donnchadh holds a BA in Communications Studies from Dublin City University and his professional expertise lies in strategy development, issues management and litigation support.

Mark Leech has over 12 years corporate and consumer public relations experience.  He joins Gibney Communications from Micksgarage.ie, the online car parts retailer he co-founded and served in as PR and Marketing Director.

Mark previously held senior positions in Q4 and Murray Consultants and has devised and managed PR strategies on behalf of leading Irish companies and public sector bodies.  He is recognized as an industry expert in social media and e-commerce.  He holds a B.Sc in Communications from DIT Aungier Street.
