Crighton appointed Chairman of Gibney Communications

Carlo Crighton, Chairman of Gibney Communications, and Ita Gibney, Managing Director of Gibney Communications.
Gibney Communications is pleased to announce the appointment of Carlo Crighton as Chairman, effective immediately, as a first step in the formation of a Board to support the development of the Company. The Board will fulfil three functions for the agency – client services and consultancy, agency business strategy and new business development.
Carlo Crighton brings with him more than 15 years experience as a senior PR consultant in domestic and international public relations and marketing. He was until recently the International Director of Edelman’s Technology PR Practice, responsible for Europe, Asia and Latin America. Previously he held the position of Executive Director at Text 100 where he was responsible for all the agency’s businesses across the region of Europe, comprising 250 staff in nine offices. He was a Board member at Text 100’s publicly quoted parent company, Next Fifteen Communications Group PLC (UK;NFC), and a member of the team which brought the company successfully to the market on the London Stock Exchange in 1999. In 1992, Carlo set up Text 100’s operations in Ireland, establishing the country’s first specialist technology PR agency. He recently returned to Ireland to work on a full time basis and is involved in businesses within the marketing communications, technology and healthcare sectors.
